Creamy and Crispy Chicken Wraps

One of my kid’s favorite go-to lunches are these creamy and crispy chicken wraps. Easy and delicious make-ahead, and cook before serving. Chicken wraps are made using egg wraps and filled with chicken, cheese, scallions, and ranch, then cooked in oil for the crisp. A perfect way to use up leftover chicken or a rotisserie chicken! 

 

Crispy Chicken Wraps

Ingredients to Make Quick and Easy Chicken Wraps 

Wraps: Egg wraps are usually found in the produce department. 

Filling: Shredded cooked chicken, cheese, scallions, and ranch dressing

Oil: for frying. Use a light oil.

Crispy Chicken Wraps

Ingredients

  • 1 package of egg roll wraps (they are usually located in the vegetable section in the grocery stores)
  • 3 green onion stalks, chopped
  • 3/4 cup ranch
  • 1 cup boiled chicken (thighs or chicken breast, boneless), shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups grated cheese (I use mozzarella and some cheddar)
  • 1 cup oil, for frying (more or less)

How To Make Chicken Wraps

Making these chicken ranch wraps is a piece of cake

Mix the filling ingredients together in a medium bowl. (chicken, onion, cheese, and ranch). 

Crispy Chicken Wraps

  • Take a small dish and fill it with water and a 1/4 tsp of flour ( flour will help as glue to hold the tip of the egg wrap from unfolding)
  • Separate one egg wrap square, in the center of the wrap put a tablespoon of chicken filling and wrap it up.

  • Continue till filling is all gone. You may have some wraps left.

  • You could cover it and put it in the refrigerator for later, or if you would like to fry and eat right away. 
  • In a small saucepan heat up oil (about 1 cup). As soon as the oil hot drop 2-3 rolls to fry. Keep the temperature on medium-low so the wrap cooks through. *Caution! Oil is hot!

  • As soon as roll browns up, take it out.

  • 1 pack egg roll wraps

  • 1 cup boiled chicken thighs or chicken breast, boneless
  • 1 ½ cups grated cheese I use mozzarella and some cheddar
  • 1 cup oil for frying (more or less)

Instructions
