What do I need to make this recipe?
- 3 cups animal cookies, crushed
- 1 3/4 cups walnuts, chopped
- 1 cup of sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
- 3 tbsp cocoa
Directions for Chocolate Kielbasa:
- Crush animal crackers into a bowl, you can break them by hand or a food processor. (Medium size pieces).
- To the cookie, bowl add 1 3/4 cup of chopped walnuts.
- In a saucepan melt 2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter.
- Sift sugar and cocoa, add to the butter.
- Bring to a boil, take off the heat.
- Stir in eggs one by one, mixing quickly after each egg.
- Pour into the walnut and cookies.
- Combine together.
- On a clean surface, take plastic wrap and cut off a square
- Put 1/3 of the chocolate mix and with the help of plastic wrap form a sausage shape. Make a knot at each end.
- Make more kielbasa until the mix is all used up.
- Put kielbasa into the refrigerator until it becomes stiff, will take a few hours or best just leave overnight. For faster results put in the freezer.

- Pour into the walnut and cookies and combine together.
- On a clean surface, take plastic wrap and cut off a square piece.
- Put ⅓ of the chocolate mix and with the help of plastic wrap, form a sausage shape. Make a knot at each end.
- Repeat the last step until the mix is finished.
- Transfer the kielbasa into the refrigerator until it becomes stiff (a few hours, or overnight). For faster results, freeze.
- Once firm, slice and enjoy with tea!

Is it ok to put eggs in it without cooking them?
The eggs are stirred into boiled sauce pan with butter and cocoa after you turn off the heat, the mixer is very hot when you put in the eggs. Meaning They don’t end up raw if that is what you are worried about.
how much butter did you melt? I don’t see it in recipe but I see it in picture.
