What do I need to make this recipe?
- 5 large eggs
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cups milk
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 3 cups flour
Directions for Crepes:
- In microwave melt 2 Tablespoons of unsalted butter.
- In a large bowl, whisk together 5 large eggs.
- Add in 2 Tablespoons of sugar and continue whisking.
- To the sugar, add 2 Tablespoons melted unsalted butter, 2 cups of milk (I use 2%), 1 Tablespoon of Oil, and 1/4 teaspoon of Baking Powder.
- Whisk all together well.
- Continuing to whisk, add in 3 cups of flour (1/2 a cup at a time).
- Add in 2 more cups of milk and mix all together well. Batter should be runny.
- Heat crepe pan. Leave on medium heat to make the crepes. (If you don’t have a crepe pan, no worries just use a non-stick regular pan)
- Using a ladle, add in batter to pan, turning the hot pan to make sure batter is spread all over the pan. Crepes will heat up quickly, especially since they are thin; so work quickly.
- As soon as you see the crepe beginning to golden, flip it over.
- Each side takes about 30-60 seconds, so stay on top of it to not to burn the crepes.
- Continue until all batter is used up.
- Yum! Enjoy these crepes with toppings of your choice.
