Apple Cream Cheese Cake

Ingredients

    • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

 

    • ½ cup butter, softened (1 stick)

 

    • 4-eggs

 

    • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and cubed

 

    • 1-1/4  cup flour, sifted

 

    • 1-cup sugar

 

    • 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder

 

    • ½ teaspoon Vanilla

 

    • 4-Tablespoon sunflower seeds

 

  • 2-Tablespoons brown sugar

Directions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • In a mixer bowl, on low speed beat a pack of softened cream cheese and 1/2 cup (1 stick) softened butter until smooth and blended together well.

  • To the mixer add 1 cup of sugar then beat together 1 more minute.
  • Add in 4 large eggs, one at a time.
  • To the mix add 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder, ½ tsp vanilla, and 1 1/4 cup of flour.
  • Cover tart pan with parchment paper or spray with cooking oil.

  • Lay out half of batter into the tart or cake pan.
  • Over the batter in the cake pan, add in the cube-cut apples.

  • On top of the apples, spread the rest of the batter.
  • Sprinkle with 4 tablespoons of sunflower seeds and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar. (You could add or substitute  any other kind of small treats instead of sunflower seeds.)

  • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test. Take out and let cool for few minutes.
  • Sift some powdered sugar sugar on top and enjoy a piece of an apple cream cheese cake!
