This crispy cauliflower is baked to perfection and is mixed with the perfect amount of buffalo sauce!
I’m not someone who shies away from meat recipes. You’ve noticed I have a ton of them here on my blog. And maybe once upon a time, I would hear “buffalo cauliflower” and chuckle at it. What were people thinking? This could replace delicious buffalo wings? And so I tried it for myself.
Now, I’m not saying this is an exact replacement for chicken wings and it tastes exactly the same. They don’t. Chicken and cauliflower are different. But hear me out. This dish is a great substitute…
A great substitute for:
- When you don’t have chicken on hand and want a yummy snack with some of the same flavors
- When you want a healthier alternative to fried chicken wings
- When you have a vegetarian/vegan guest over and you’re looking to serve them something more than the usual salad or cut fruit you present them.
You have to take the idea that these taste just like meaty buffalo wings except it’s a veggie version. No, you enjoy them as they are. Chunks of cauliflower, seasoned, baked, and drenched with your favorite buffalo sauce. And then, my friends, I promise you’ll enjoy it.
You can munch on these as is – they taste great! But I like to serve them with a homemade yogurt dipping sauce. It tastes phenomenal! It tastes quite like traditional tzatziki sauce, minus the garlic, cucumbers, and EVOO.
I love preparing this right before the kids come home – it’s a great snack that’s nutritious. And it holds them over pretty well until dinner time.
I hope you enjoy making this buffalo cauliflower!
