  • Wash and dry 2 pounds of beef and cut into small cubes.  Heat 2 Tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet, and fry your meat on high heat for 3-4 minutes or until slightly browned.  Transfer the beef into an oven safe dish, sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  • In the same skillet, fry 1 diced onion and 3 grated carrots, and then transfer into the dish with fried beef.  Sprinkle with minced garlic.

  • Cut 6 medium sized potatoes into long strips, like you would cut potatoes for French fries, place into the skillet, add more oil if needed, and fry on high heat for 2-3 minutes until slightly browned.  Transfer into the dish with beef and vegetables.  Add a cup of chopped dill or parsley.

  • Last thing you need to do is add a cup of grated mozzarella or pepper jack cheese and cover with a thin layer of mayonnaise.

  • Cover the dish and bake at 390 degrees F for 30 minutes.  Then uncover and bake for 10-15 more minutes.  Take out of the oven and let stand for 10 minutes.
  • Garnish each plate with fresh parsley when serving.  You can gently mix it before serving to make sure everyone gets equal amount of each ingredient, but you don’t have to.
  • Enjoy this delicious flavorful dish!
