What do I need to spice this recipe up?
- 2 Tbsp dried marjoram
- 2 Tbsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp black peppercorns
- 2 Tbsp dried dill
- 2 Tbsp dried summer savory
- 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
- 2 Tbsp dried mint
- 2 Tbsp coriander seed
- 1 Tbsp dried fenugreek leaves
- 2 tsp dried ground marigold petals
- 2 crushed bay leaves
What do I need to make the whole recipe?
- 2 lbs chicken thighs and breast, bone-in and/or boneless (you also can take the skin off)
- waer to fill pot to boil chicken
- 1 tsp of curry powder
- 1 tsp of khmeli suneli
- 3 tsp of red pepper
- 3 tsp of black pepper
- 2 cups of crushed walnuts
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 Tbsp salt
- salt/ pepper
- 3 Tbsp of unsalted butter
How to make Chicken in Walnut Sauce:
- You could cut the chicken into smaller pieces before or after its boil.
- Put chicken pieces into a pot and fill with water, add 2 tablespoons of salt. Boil for 30 minutes.
- Take chicken out, cut in pieces if you haven’t already. (save the water from the chicken you will need it ).
- Put chicken pieces in a pan with 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter.
- Brown up chicken pieces lightly, turn chicken frequently,
- Add to the chicken 1 teaspoon of khmeli suneli, 3 teaspoons of black pepper, 3 teaspoons of red pepper, 1 teaspoon of curry powder.
- Add 2 cups crushed walnuts, minced 3 garlic cloves and water that you boiled chicken in, just enough to fully cover all the chicken.
- Simmer for 15 minutes, or until comes to a boil.
- You could add salt, pepper to taste.

- 2 lb chicken thighs or breasts skinless
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1 tsp khmeli suneli
- 3 tsp red pepper
- 3 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups walnuts crushed
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 2 Tbsp salt
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions
- Put chicken into a pot, fill with water and 2 Tbsp salt. Boil for 30 minutes.
- Once finished, take chicken out a cut into smaller pieces then transfer to a pan with 3 Tbsp unsalted butter (save the water, you will need it later)
- Frequently turn over the chicken and lightly brown it.
- To the chicken skillet, add 1 tsp khmeli suneli, 3 tsp black pepper, 3 tsp red pepper, and 1 tsp curry powder.
- Add 2 cups crushed walnuts and 3 minced garlic cloves. Then top off with the water from the boiled chicken, just enough to cover the chicken.
- Simmer for 15 minutes or until it comes to a boil. Add more salt and pepper to taste.
- All done, serve warm!
