Tips:

As I have mentioned before in my other posts, when it comes to beef, I love using filet mignon cut. It is fairly more expensive than other beef cuts (which will also work well for this recipe) but I think it’s worth the money. However, if you are looking for a cheaper option, pick one that you can cut fresh into pieces at home, not beef stew meat.

For most of this recipe, you will need liquid ingredients. The sauce is a huge part of this recipe where you will find most of the flavors. You can easily swop the soy sauce for Tamari sauce for a gluten-free option.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef
  • ¼ cup of soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 Tbsp vegetable or olive oil for the sauce + 2 more Tbsp for frying
  • 2 Tbsp hot water
  • Chinese noodles or any noodles of your choice
  • 2 Tbsp corn starch
  • 3 green onions

How to Make Asian Flavored Beef with Noodles:

  • Cook noodles according to package directions, then rinse with cold water and set aside. If you want more flavor of the sauce, use just half of the box of noodles.

  • Thinly slice 1 pound of beef, making sure the slices are super thin, that way they cook really fast.

  • Place beef slices in a small bowl, add 2 tablespoons of corn starch and rub the slices with your hands until the meat absorbs the starch, set aside and let stand for about 5-10 minutes.
  • Then heat 2 Tbsp of oil in a large skillet, fry your beef slices until golden brown.

Make the Sauce:

  • While beef is frying, prepare the sauce by mixing n a small bowl,  soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, sesame oil, rice vinegar, canola oil, and couple tablespoons of hot water.  Whisk until the ingredients are well blended.
