Skip the store-bought dip and try this chunky, spicy, and refreshingly delicious homemade guacamole.
Holy guacamole. This is good. Not just good, it’s incredible. In fact, it’s beyond incredible. It’s downright a drool-worthy obsession of mine. And I’m not even ashamed.
It’s spicy. Citrusy. And so, so fresh.
It’s the perfect party food. The best culprit to these delicious homemade gluten-free tortilla chips. It brings all the guacs to the yard. Whatever that means. I’m rambling. I’m just so excited to share this recipe with you.
You need this guacamole in your life. Like yesterday. I promise you won’t miss the grocery store version after you’ve had this.
What do I need to make this recipe?
- 1/2 onion
- 2 avocados
- 2 medium tomatoes
- 1 handful cilantro
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1 lime
It’s the perfect recipe because:
Easy to make. 7 ingredients. That’s it! You’re 7 ingredients away from avocado heaven. You can even combine all the ingredients (sans the avocado) ahead of time. Just mash your avocados before serving.
Can cater to your taste buds. I like my guacamole with a little bit of heat. But if that’s not your thing, reduce the amount of chili powder. And if you’re really into a spicy avocado dip, add a bit more chili powder. Or throw in some chopped jalapenos. Or maybe you’re a fan of guacamole that’s slightly sweet. In that case, mangoes make a wonderful addition.
It is the ultimate party food. Game night? Make a huge bowl and let your guests scoop with chips. Play date for the kids? It’s the perfect healthy snack, you can easily make a large batch that will serve lots of avocado-loving mouths.
You can do so much with it. Yes, this guacamole tastes great with tortilla chips. It’s a match made in heaven, I know. But it tastes just as good spread onto sandwiches. Or scooped onto salads. Or topped onto burgers. This dip is a wonderful addition to so many dishes.
You’re going to love this! Your guests are going to love this! Your guests are going to love you for making this. And you’re only ten minutes away from having a delicious bowl of this avocado dip in front of you.
