If you’re like me, you sometimes go through a mid-week slump. The hustle, the workload, just all seems to come crashing down on a Wednesday afternoon, right? Weird how that works.
But somehow, smoothies always help pull things together. They’re always refreshing. They always provide me with just the right energy I was lacking. And the smoothies you’ll find on this site are always delicious.
This green smoothie is no different. You’ll only need three green ingredients. Fancy glass, optional.
You’ll start with one granny smith apple. Tart, juicy, beautifully green. Core and slice. Leave the skin on – that’s where all the nutrients are at!
Add in a stick of celery. Wash it, and cut into smaller chunks.
Chop two cucumbers and add them to your blender. Again, leave the skin on. Because benefits right?
Add water (or ice) and blend!
What do I need to make this recipe?
- 1 stick celery
- 2 cucumbers
- 1 granny smith apple
- 1/4 cup water
How To Make an Easy Green Smoothie:
- Slice 1 green apple and remove the seeds.
- Wash 1 celery stick and cut it into smaller pieces.
- Cut the edges off of the cucumber(s).
- Add the cut ingredients into your nutribullet or blender with 1/4 cup of water.
- Beat until smooth 1-2 minutes.
- Enjoy a fresh, smooth, and beneficial green smoothie. Cheers!
Optional: For even more green goodness, you can add spinach (or kale). If you want to make it a little more fulfilling for the kids, feel free to add in sliced banana and top with chia seeds. This recipe is very forgiving and can be catered to your taste buds. Or leave as is for a healthy, low-carb and low-cal drink. Sip, sip, enjoy!
