Apple Jam

  • 1 kilograms of apples about 6-7 medium sized apples.
  • 1 cup of sugar less if you’re using sweeter apples.


  • Grate apples on a thin grater.
  • In a medium saucepan add the grated apples. Keeping the heat on low, add 3/4 cups of sugar or 1 cup if using sour apples. You can add less at first, then add more sugar to your taste.
  • Keeping the heat on low and stirring occasionally, cook for 1 hour.
  • After an hour turn heat off and put in jars.
